This is my debut novel, and it is the result of years of experimentation. As a result, its content varies, including horror, mystery, and romance, while remaining primarily a fantasy action-adventure. I think its experimental nature reflects the characters’ experiences. They get pulled out of their ordinary lives into something far beyond them and must try new things to flourish. However, their adventure is not all fun and games; dark times are coming, and they must grow into the best people they can be to save what they love.
Ewan of Cantershire is content in his life—the life of a young nobleman, filled with wealth, comfort, and recreation.
Then, an elusive foe strikes at paranoid empires.
Monarchs point fingers.
And Ewan's world crumbles around him.
His only option is to embark on a state-sanctioned archaeology quest. It looks like a miracle ticket to avoiding the world's problems, but instead, it places him in the heart of everything. Ready or not, Ewan and his allies must navigate the dawn of a new age where a forgotten darkness shows signs of returning with a vengeance.
